One of the rarest American muscle cars is the 1967 Ford Fairlane 500 R-Code.

Introduced in 1955, the Ford Fairlane was redesigned in 1962 in order to compete with the muscle car market. The 500 was the upgraded racing package available for the Fairlane, and in 1967 the 500 R-Code was introduced.
The car’s name had the R which signified that the car had been fitted with duel quad carburettors, which allowed the Ford Fairlane to reach up to 425 horsepower.
The 1967 Ford Fairlane 500 R-Code had only 57 cars produced.
