Definitely not an illusion, you can rent David’s Copperfield’s private island for $57,000 a night.

The island where Penelope Cruz married Javier Bardem, it is also the place where Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, and Johnny Depp are rumored to have spent their time.

David Copperfield is famous for being the most successful magician in the world, but not many know that he has a second life in real estate.

He owns a chain of 11 Bahamas islands that he turned into some of the most exclusive Caribbean resorts.

The eleven islands have a total of 700-acres and are worth up to $100 million. The magician named his archipelago, which he began buying in the early 2000’s, the Islands of Copperfield Bay.

The islands are reputed to have a fountain of youth and a secret underground city.

This private island has everything from a giant drive in movie theatre on Coconut Beach to ‘The Houdini Room’ filled with memorabilia from his hero.

The famous magician bought the island back in 2006. The 150-acre island of Musha Cay and its surrounding chain cost him £30 million.

And with £25 million and five years of remodeling, he has turned it into his own personal Fantasy Island complete with a staff of 30, with furniture flown in from all over the world, including Harry Houdini’s pool table.

David Copperfield describes his resort as ‘the most magical vacation destination in the world. Of course he used the ‘magic’ word.

Rumors has it that Copperfield found the main island after apparently drawing cross-crossing lines between Easter Island and Stonehenge, and the Pyramid of Giza and the Pyramid of the Sun in the Yucatan, and determining the exact spot at which the two intersected.

‘The island experience is the creation of every great place I’ve ever been combined with the imagination that I have in my theatre work,’ he told Forbes Magazine recently.

Most expensive private islands are looking amazing. That’s where I want to spend my next vacations!

Copperfield has described Musha as his most important project to date – presumably not including the birth of his daughter Sky and his engagement to long-term partner Chloe Gosselin.

‘Because of my work I have the privilege of living in extraordinary places around the world,’ he says. ‘I wanted to recreate the details of those experiences here – from the water pressure in the shower to the thread count in the towels.’

Musha Cay also happens to be the most expensive island in the world available for rent! We even have a video tour with some quick insights on the island. Check it out!
