Four restaurants have long drawn celebrities: Soho House West Hollywood, Serendipity 3 and Sant Ambroeus in New York, and the Tower Bar at the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles. Serendipity 3 on the Upper East Side was one of Beyonce and Jay Z‘s favourite dessert places in our earlier reporting. It is at 225 E 60th St and lists daily hours of 11am to 11pm on weekdays and 10am to 11pm on weekends, with weekend brunch from 10am to 1pm. It is known for its “Frrrozen Hot Chocolate”. The owner has also said Marilyn Monroe used to eat here, a claim we cannot independently confirm.
3. Sant Ambroeus, New York
Sant Ambroeus is a well-known Italian restaurant in New York City. We could not re-confirm its current locations this month, so check before visiting. Prices are on the high side.
4. Tower Bar at Sunset Tower Hotel, Los Angeles
The Tower Bar at the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles is a classic celebrity room with a strong wine list. The hotel lists breakfast and lunch daily and dinner Monday to Saturday, with reservations by phone at 323-848-6677. These hours may have changed, so call first.
