5.Edith Flagg – $100 million
Edith Flagg is an American fashion designer that was born in Romania on November 1, 1919.
In 1956, she started Edith Flagg, Inc. that created mid-price dresses for “Average American Woman” and it was actually one of the most popular dress manufacturers in the United States from the 1950’s to 1990’s, but she retires the company in 2000.
Flagg has written several articles and editorial together with her husband for Women’s Wear Daily and California Apparel News and were later elected to the Advisory Board of Directors for Manufacturers Bank.
