Katherine Noel Brosnahan, known now worldwide as Kate Spade, is a fashion designer, the founder of Kate Spade New York, that was born in Missouri on December 24, 1962.
She studied at University of Kansas and Arizona State University and got a degree in Journalism.
She first launched Kate Spade Handbags in January 1993 together with Joel Franklin and then in 2004, she launched Kate Spade at Home.
Kate won numerous awards during her life, such as America’s New Fashion Talent in Accessories (1996), Best Accessory Designer of the Year (1998), Giants of Design Award for Tastemaker (2004), Elle Decor International Design Award for Bedding and American Food and Entertaining Award for Designer of the Year.
