I don’t know if all of you know this yet, but I’m a huge fan of Vivienne Westwood. If you ask me, she is the most genius fashion designer in history.
Vivienne Isabel Swire Westwood, commonly known as Vivienne Westwood, was born in 1941 in England and graduated from the Harrow School of Art at University of Westminister.
The English designer started her career when her former husband, Malcolm McLaren, became the manager of the punk band, Sex Pistols, and the couple designed the clothes for them. She remained an icon ever since for her punk-inspired design ideas.
And of course, she is a woman of many prizes. For example, in 1992 she won an OBE from the British monarchy and in 2006 she was honored as DBE for perfect service for fashion during the New Year’s Honours List.
