3- Donald Sutherland: $40 Million
His journey started on July 17th, 1935 in Saint John New Brunswick. Spend his teenage years in Nova Scotia where he got his first part time job as a news correspondent for local radio station CKBW in Bridgewater.
Then he went to study at Victoria College, University of Toronto (where he met his first wife Lois Hardwick) and graduated with a double major in engineering and drama.
He had at one point been a member of the “UC Follies” comedy troupe in Toronto.
But in the last minute he had a change of heart about becoming an engineer and left Canada for England in 1957 and went to study at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
With a film career of almost 50 years, the Canadian actor had some notable roles, including soldiers in popular war movies, as well as a diverse range of characters in many other movies.
Among our favorites are The Dirty Dozen, The Eagle Has Landed, M*A*S*H and Kelly’s Heroes where he had the part of soldiers.
And of course we can’t forget about Pride & Prejudice and The Hunger Games.
On The Hunger Games, Donald Sutherland has the role of President Coriolanus Snow and of course he did an amazing job being the bad guy.
