2- Suzanne Collins: $50 Million
Just like it happened on Game of Thrones’s richest celebrities, the author of the novel George R.R. Martin was a part of the list, and Hunger Games’s richest celebrities is not an exception.
The author of The Hunger Games trilogy is Suzanne Collins, the women without none of this would have been possible.
But Suzanne is not known only as the author of The Hunger Games trilogy, but also The New York Times best-selling series The Underland Chronicles.
Her career began in 1991 as a writer for children’s television shows where she worked on several television shows for Nickelodeon, including Little Bear and Oswald.
For that she received a Writers Guild of America nomination in animation for co-writing the critically acclaimed Christmas special, Santa, Baby!
But her career took a new turn after she met children’s author James Proimos when she was inspired to write children’s books herself.
Between 2003 and 2007 she wrote the five books of the Underland Chronicles: Gregor the Overlander, Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane, Gregor and the Curse of the Warmbloods, Gregor and the Marks of Secret, and Gregor and the Code of Claw.
But her success came in September 2008 when Scholastic Press released the first book of a trilogy called The Hunger Games.
Her inspiration on writing the books came from the Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur. Now the movies inspired by her books are one of the best- selling movies ever.
