8. ALICE WALTON – Net Worth: $39.4 BILLION

Robson’s sister, Alice Walton is the heiress of Walmart and the daughter of Sam Walton and Helen Walton.

She is now 65 years old, but that doesn’t mean that she is going to stop any time soon. But let’s find out her story.

Her career started in finance as an equity analyst and money manager of First Commerce Corporation. Later she served as vice chairperson and head of all investment-related activities at Arvest Bank Group.

All that came after he graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio with a B.A. in economics and finance.

She didn’t follow her brothers steps and joined Walmart. Instead she founded Llama Company, an investment bank that deals with corporate finance, public and structured finance, real estate, sales and trading.

Walton was the first chairperson and driving force behind the Northwest Arkansas Council. The community organization that played a major role in securing the development of the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport.

Walton arranged for and provided the initial seed capital to finance the construction of the airport.

But the 90s came, the year when she closed Llama Company and moved to a 3,200 acre ranch in Millsap, Texas, named Walton’s Rocking W Ranch.

In 2015, Forbes ranked her #8 on the top of the wealthiest Americans.
