With a net worth of $3.5 billion, Jim Davis is the richest man in Greece.
The 71-year-old businessman is the Chairman of shoe maker New Balance, which has revenues estimated at $2.7 billion.
The company was purchased in 1972, and since then, it has expanded into clothing and equipment for soccer and lacrosse.
New Balance’s Boston Landing, a $500 million development, will include a hotel, a sports facility with an indoor track, office space, a commuter rail station and the new global headquarters of New Balance.
Jim Davis’ wife, Anne Davis, joined the company in 1977 as its first human resources manages and today she is Vice Chairman.
The billionaire also owns a multiple commercial properties in Gloucester, Mass.
