He became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 1981, and turned the company in one of the world’s 500 largest companies.
Last year, the company’s Blue Solutions, a manufacturer of patented lithium-polymer-metal car batteries, went public.
These batteries power the Bollore Bluecar, which is used in Paris’ electric car-sharing service.
