We begin our top list with Carlos Hank Rhon, the son of one of Mexico’s best known politicians, the late Carlos Hank Gonzales, who was Mexico City’s mayor and Secretary of Agriculture.
The 66-year-old businessman owns 74% stake in Grupo Financiero Interacciones, a banking enterprise.
He also owns Grupo Hermes, an industrial group with interests in energy, transport, construction, auto dealerships and tourism.
In 2013, Grupo Hermes announced a $130 million investment to build a hotel on its commercial real estate project, Playa Mujeres, located North of Cancun.
