2.Charlene de Carvalho-Heineken – $11 billion
Yeah, so basically every time you go out for a Heineken with your friends, Charlene’s fortune is increasing.
Charlene de Carvalho is the second-richest person in the Netherlands, but exclusively the richest woman in the country! She lives in London, UK and guess what, Charlene is Britain’s richest woman too!
But how did she do it? Well, not exactly her hard work of a lifetime. Charlene is the daughter of Freddy Heineken, who sadly passed away back in 2002, the former owner of the Dutch brewer Heineken. When her father passed away a decade ago, she inherited his part, 25% % stake in Heineken to be more precise.
The company has more than 170 premium brands in over 65 countries, so I guess it’s reasonable that she’s the richest person in the Netherlands.
Mother of 5 children, Charlene runs the family business together with her husband, investment banker Michel de Carvalho, who now takes care of Heineken’s supervisory board.
