5. David and Simon Reuben: £9.7 billion
David and Simon Reuben are British businessmen and philanthropists. In 2013, Forbes magazine ranked the brothers on second place on the list of wealthiest people in the UK. in 2015, they are the richest brothers in United Kingdom.
First it was Simon who started out by importing carpets and buying real estate and David who was into metals trading.
Later they joined forces together and created Transworld, a metals’ trader that invested in Russia and Kazakhstan in the 1990s. Since selling their metals business, the pair have built their fortune in property, pubs, and natural resources.
The brothers continue to expand their data center business, GlobalSwitch in Hong Kong, Sydney and Amsterdam.
