Haim Saban is an Israeli and American media proprietor, investor, musician and film and television producer.
Born on October 15, 1944, Saban, who never went to college, eventually hit the jackpot in the early 1990s with the children’s TV show ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’, an American TV series which we all loved.
His music career started in 1966, as a bass player and manager for the rock band ‘The Lions of Judah’.
In the early 1970s, the billionaire moved to France where he worked as a music producer. His clients included Mike Brant, Noam Kaniel and Shuki & Aviva which launched a record company with Saban.
In 2001, after Haim Saban sold Fox Family Channel to Disney for $5 billion, his take was a whopping $1.7 billion.
Currently, he chairs Spanish language TV network Univision, which he and a group of private equity investors purchased for $13.7 billion in 2007.
