The Chearavanont family owns the Charoen Pokhphand Group, an agribusiness conglomerate. Dhanin acquired Chinese insurer Ping An and cash-and-carry wholesaler Siam Makro for $16 billion, but it seems like his wealth dropped with around $1.1 billion.
