Known as the Russian oil mogul, Roman was born into poverty. And at the age of two, he became an orphan. His uncle raised him since then. And he was living a hard life for some period of time.
But his family managed to help him become a student at the Moscow Auto transport Institute. Even though he eventually dropped out, this was the time he got acquainted with the world of business. When he was still a student in 1987, he started a small company of plastic toys manufacturer.
This company helped him found oil business. Long story short, controversies aside, he became a world renowned in oil industry. From there, Roman’s wealth only grew bigger. And today, with all of his assets, he is estimated to worth $8.5 billion.
