A luxury Seychelles trip in 2026 centres on a handful of five-star villa resorts on Mahé and the outer islands, with booking-platform starting rates of roughly $1,650 to $2,100 per night, plus a €10 Travel Authorization before you fly. The archipelago has 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, so you can combine a main-island base with a private-island stay.
| Resort | Island | Starting rate signal (2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Four Seasons Resort Seychelles | Mahé, Petite Anse bay | Roughly $2,100 a night on one booking platform; official page shows no public rate |
| Raffles Seychelles | Praslin | Roughly $1,800 a night on one booking platform |
| Six Senses Zil Pasyon | Félicité | Roughly $1,650 to $1,980 a night across two platforms |
| Anantara Maia | Mahé | Roughly $2,100 a night on one booking platform |
These are booking-platform “from” rates. They vary by date and by platform, so treat them as a guide and request a quote from the resort.
What is Seychelles like?
Seychelles is an archipelago of 115 islands scattered across the Indian Ocean, famous for white beaches framed by granite boulders and green peaks. The main island, Mahé, is home to the capital, Victoria. Attractions in Victoria include a clock tower modelled on London’s Little Ben, a botanical garden, the National Museum of History and a market.
The archipelago has two UNESCO World Heritage Sites:
- Aldabra, a reef-ringed coral atoll with a lagoon
- Vallée de Mai on Praslin, home to the rare black parrot and the coco de mer, the giant sea coconut
Where do millionaires stay on Mahé?
The Four Seasons Resort Seychelles sits in a secluded setting on Petite Anse bay on the southwest coast of Mahé. The resort’s site lists villa types from the Serenity Villa up to a Four-Bedroom Residence Villa, and a spa and fine dining. Our earlier version of this guide named a golf course and a restaurant at this resort. We could not confirm those, so we removed them.
Banyan Tree Seychelles, long a favourite for romantic stays, closed on 1 June 2020 for a deep renovation planned for at least 24 months. We could not confirm a reopening date or a 2026 rate, so check with the resort before planning around it.
Island hopping and private escapes
For a quieter stay, look at the outer-island resorts. Six Senses Zil Pasyon on Félicité and Raffles on Praslin were both among the starting rates above. Praslin is also where Vallée de Mai is, so it pairs well with a nature day. If you would like to charter a boat instead, see our guide to the world’s most expensive yachts. We did not find a reliable current Seychelles charter rate, so we cut the older weekly price estimate.
What to know before you fly
The old advice that no visa is needed has a catch. Every visitor needs an online Electronic Travel Authorisation before departure. The standard fee is €10, with premium (€30) and expedited (€70) options. A Visitor’s Permit is then issued free on arrival, valid for up to three months. You will also need a return or onward ticket, proof of accommodation and sufficient funds. Confirm the details on the official Seychelles border system site before paying, as resellers charge more.
We did not verify current flight prices from the US, so check them for your dates.
