11. Florida ($29,000 per acre)
Florida is the home to one of the places I want to live in, Miami. Mostly because I grew up watching one of the top cop shows, CSI: Miami. Not because of the crimes or how Horatio flicks his sunglasses though, it is because of the combination of modern and coastal city.
So, needless to say that I envy more than twenty million people living in Florida today. That is the third highest among other states. And in terms of population density, Florida is ranked 8th with 354 inhabitants per square mile.
The Sunshine State contributes the first trillion into US’s national land value. With $28,961 value of land per acre, and a total of 35.3 million acres of land available, Florida has around $1 trillion total land value. And that is only the fourth highest in United States.
Take a look at some of Florida’s actual properties on sale:
- 221 acres of cleared pasture land in agricultural rural zone of Plant City, Hillsborough County is on sale for $5.75 million.
- A one-acre house of five bedrooms and five bathrooms located in Mirabay Boulevard, Apollo Beach is on sale for $699,000.
