1.Breaking The Record
It started with a lower budget that any other Marvel movies like X-Men, Iron Man, Avengers, or Captain America.
But it broke the record for most grossings in the opening weekend, with over, to be exact, $130 million, just in the first two days!
The record was had been held by The Matrix Reloaded for over 12 years straight.
You can imagine that the film is still making the crew a lot of money, having only been out for two weeks and already grossed approximately $250 million.
Your last fun fact is this, Deadpool didn’t only break the record for the opening weekend, it even set a new record, for the largest opening weekend ever of a first-time director, in our case Tim Miller.
The previous record holder was Chris Miller, co-director of Shrek the Third, that opened with $121.6 million.
