If you are lucky enough to live in a place with a clear sky, this would be even better, but not mandatory.
You should buy a telescope and spend a nice summer night outside just watching the stars. You can check online for when there are going to be meteor showers.
Two principal meteor showers will take place in July and August this year. If you like this and want to learn more, you can also go to your local planetarium and enjoy the stars while getting to know their stories.
