If you haven’t been living under a rock for the last 50 years, you have probably heard of it, but I bet that there are some things you didn’t know about Lamborghini!
There is no doubt that this top brand makes some of the best sport cars in the world, and if you own one you are definitely gonna turn some heads around.
I bet that at least once in your life you have heard the saying that “money doesn’t bring you happiness“, but let me just say to you, have you ever seen a sad person in a Lambo?
And the best part behind the birth of the Lamborghini is definitely the motivation that started the project.
1.First Lamborghini ever made was a tractor
When WWII ended, Ferruccio Lamborghini got home and started building tractors from spear parts. People loved them, and his business idea was reworded.
2.Lamborghini was founded as a frustration towards Ferrari’s bad services
When Ferruccio Lamborghini first purchased a Ferrari, was very disappointed by their services. In the WWII he was always passionate by car engines, and he was well known for his mechanical improvisations. As a result of this incident and of course his talent, he put the bases of his today top brand, Lamborghini sport cars.
3.At the unveiling of the first Lamborghini the engine was missing
At the Turin Auto Show, the first Lamborghini sport car was not finished, so they improvised a little bit. They put a bunch of bricks where the engine supposed to be and kept the hood shut the entire show.
4.In the 1960s owning a Miura was a big thing
Back then only celebrities like Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and Rob Stewart was owning a car like this. Actually Frank Sinatra once said: “You buy a Ferrari when you want to be somebody. You buy a Lamborghini when you are somebody.”
5.The Italian Police State have a Gallardo which can be used for organ transport
In may 2005 the Italian Police State started to chase criminals in a brand new Lamborghini Gallorado. The car is customized with high-tech police gadgets and it also includes a refrigerated box for organ transport.
6.Aventador design inspired by nature
There are lots of designs for planes, cars and other things that are inspired from nature, and in this case the inspiration came from those shiny green jagged-leg beetles that smell bad when you step on them.
7.Murcielago new version
There is a new version of Lamborghini Murcielago and its name is Murcielago SV which stands for Super-Veloce and it means super-fast. It took 130 people to hand-craft it, and it is entirely made from carbon fibre, except for the roof and the doors.
8.Lamborghini logo chose after an astrological sign
Ferruccio Lamborghini chose the logo after his astrological sign which is Taurus, that is why most of the cars are named after bulls (Miura, Gallardo, Diablo, Murcielago).
9.Countach is a swear word
When the head of the Bertone design house first saw the car he shouted “Countach” in a Piedmontese dialect, which is the term used to describe a beautiful woman in a vulgar way.
10.Lamborghini Veneno Roadster
This beast of a car is the most expensive sport car in the World, it coast $4.5 million, and only 9 were ever made. Now imagine what is like to be one of the 9 owners! Pretty cool, right? It is like owning Mona Lisa.
11.Lamborghini Aventador boat
There is no doubt that is very nice to have an Aventador for the road, but how about the water? If you can afford to pay $500.000 for an Aventador, you must know that if you want the boat version you have to pay $1.3 million.
12.Lamborghini driving school
The Lamborghini Winter Academy is probably the coolest driving school in the World, where you can master driving a 700-HP beast on the snow, in one of the most beautiful places in the World, the Alps.
13.The fastest Lamborghini
The fastest Lamborghini in the World is Muricelago R-GT, and it has an astonishing top speed of 370 km/h. If that is not impressive then I don‘t know what it is!
14.Lamborghini owned by Volkswagen AG
At first Lamborghini was an independent company but now it is owned by Volkswagen AG, after purchasing it in 1998.
15.Real life Tony Stark
In the WWII, Ferruccio Lamborghini was isolated on the Rhodes island, and he managed to put together some real impressive machines only with spear parts, just like Tony Stark did in the movie, when he built a nuclear reactor in a cave.
