2. PepsiCo (Sales Revenue: $62.7 billion)
Pepsi may only be the second bestselling soda in the world after Coca-Cola. In fact, its brand value is way less than its top competitor’s. Pepsi as the runner up has $19.4 brand value, yet Coca-Cola has staggering $58.5 billion.
However, in terms of sales revenue, PepsiCo outranks Coca-Cola. This is possible because PepsiCo has expanded its variety of products. More than twenty brands from PepsiCo generate more than $1 billion of annual sales revenue each. So, it should come as no surprise that its food and beverages products sale generates $62.7 billion every year.
Pepsi cola contributes most of that revenue ($11.8 billion). And the proof is probably stashed inside your fridge, sitting on your table, or emptied in your trash can. Millions of people drink Pepsi products worldwide. Besides Pepsi brand, 7 Up, Mirinda, Tropicana, Mountain Dew, and Lipton are also its leading beverage brands.
Not many people realize that half of PepsiCo’s products are food products. And they are some of the world’s bestsellers as well. Don’t tell me you have never ate a whole bag of Lay’s or Cheetos in your entire life.
