12. SABMiller (Sales Revenue: $20.8 billion)
Founded more than a century ago in South Africa, SABMiller became the second largest brewer in the world based on its revenue. The company generated $20.8 billion of sales revenue in 2015 from selling beers in more than 80 countries worldwide.
Two of SABMiller’s brands are the world’s bestselling beer brands, Snow and Foster’s. Snow is the fifth bestselling beer brand sold in China. And SABMiller contributed 9.7% to the global market share for beer mostly because of this brand. Foster’s, in the other hand, is ranked 3rd.
A few months ago, SABMiller was acquired by another top brewery company, AB InBev. It is the world’s largest brewer. And together, they have become unbeatable by any other brewers in the world.
Whopping $104 billion was paid by AB InBev for this huge acquisition. Now, all of SABMiller’s brands are owned by AB InBev. As a subsidiary company, SABMiller is still listed as the world’s 79th most innovative company by Forbes.
