9. Mondelez (Sales Revenue: $30 billion)
I have another confession to make: I just had a piece of Cadbury today. There is nothing like how this milk chocolate tastes. That is why it is also the main ingredient of my homemade brookies. Yum!
This delicious chocolate is one of Mondelez’s products. Besides all Cadbury chocolates, Mondelez also owns what Sheldon Cooper thinks is the only one cookie with something in the middle that solves life’s problems: Oreo.
Founded in 1896, Mondelez started its journey as Kraft’s spin-off in 2012. Unlike the settlement with Starbuck, Kraft was supportive about this spin-off. In fact, the origin company even came up with the Mondelez name, which is the combination of “world” and “delicious” from Romance language.
Little did Kraft know, Mondelez would exceed its sales revenue by nearly $10 billion. While Kraft Heinz is generating $20.2 billion only, Mondelez tops it with $30 billion. In addition to that, Forbes listed Mondelez as the world’s 46th most powerful brand and 52nd most innovative company.
