Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, on July 30, 1974, Hilary Swank is the daughter of Judy Kay, a secretary and dancer, and Stephen Michael Swank, a Chief Master Sergeant in the Oregon Air National Guard and later a traveling salesman.
The two time oscar winner grew up in a trailer park and was left by her father when she was young.
Although Swank is now worth approximately $40 million, there were times when she lived in a car, or stayed at her friends.
At the age of fifteen, Hilary Swank dropped out of high school, but later on, after pursuing her dream to become an actress, things started to get better, and here she is, a wealthy American actress, with two oscars and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, wearing her name.
