What is Yemanjá on Mustique?
Yemanjá is a private villa estate on the hillside above Macaroni Beach, on the Atlantic side of Mustique. The name refers to the Brazilian goddess of the sea. The main house is built as a set of palapa-style buildings around a tall palm-covered central roof, with living, dining and entertainment areas spread across about 19,000 square feet.
Rental listings credit the design to Mexican architect Manolo Mestre, which explains the Mexican beach-house feel. Inside, the decor mixes Brazilian and African art with ethnic pieces, and the rooms open onto private terraces and hammock spots.
How many bedrooms and pools does it have?
The villa works as a five-bedroom house for up to 10 guests, or as an eight-bedroom estate for up to 16 once the guest cottage and the children’s cottage are added. The children’s cottage has bunk beds, a play room and a nanny’s room.
There are three swimming pools, including an infinity-edge pool facing the ocean, plus a children’s pool. The grounds also have a tennis court, a jungle gym, a trampoline, an outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven, and a home office and TV room.

Weekly rates for the low season, 1 May to 18 December 2026, are $46,500 for five bedrooms and $56,500 for eight. The high season from 4 January to 30 April 2027 runs $64,000 and $77,000. Christmas and New Year rates are on request.
On top of the rate, an 11% government tax and a 12% island fee apply. An optional meal plan costs $120 per adult and $55 per child under 12 per day, and a staff tip of 5 to 10% is suggested. What staff and services come with the villa?
The household team has 11 people: two butlers, two chefs, three housekeepers, three gardeners and one manager. The kitchen leans on fresh tropical juices, salads, home-baked bread, seafood and mixed Caribbean, European and Asian dishes.
Guests get around the island in the villa’s vehicles, which include small utility buggies, so a rental car is not needed. Mustique itself has a grocery store and a fish market, and most supplies arrive from St Vincent, so the staff can source almost anything on request.
What is Mustique like?
Mustique is a private island in the Grenadines run by The Mustique Company, which is owned by the island’s homeowners. About 500 people live there year round, rising to roughly 1,200 in peak season, and there are about 120 private villas. Colin Tennant bought the island in 1958 and formed the company in 1968. The airstrip has operated since 1969, and ferries run from Saint Vincent. Macaroni Beach faces the Atlantic, so its big waves suit surfers more than swimmers.
