3.Michael Douglas & Catherine Zeta-Jones
On number 3 on the list of celebrity first dates we have Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
The couple met during a film festival in 1998, where Catherine’s film, The Mask of Zorro was screening, after being introduced by Danny DeVito.
It seems like Douglas was quite impressed with her performance, because he approached Zeta-Jones afterwards and told her:
“I want to father your children.”
Zeta-Jones gave actor Douglas quite an ironic reply, saying:
“I’ve heard a lot about you. It’s nice to know it’s all true. Good night.”
The couple started dating in 1999 and in spite of the big age difference (25 years), by 2000 they were married.
Unfortunately Zeta-Jones and Douglas went through some serious couple problems and in 2013 People magazine claimed that they are living separately. It seems like the two of them managed to reconcile, Catherine moving back in their New York apartment.
