The 14th spot on the list of best bar designs in the world is occupied by Ammo Restaurant.
Based in Hong Kong, China, the restaurant and bar offers a cross-cultural blend menu that includes both Asian and Mediterranean dishes.
Ammo’s design is inspired from the historical, architectural and cultural significance of its location. As the name says (ammo is the slang for ammunition), the restaurant is deeply rooted into its history. The bar was a former explosives magazine compound created by the British army in the mid-19th century.
Well the place surely looks a bit “dangerous”, and edgy, doesn’t it?
The team behind this mind-blowing designed restaurant is formed of restaurateur Tony Cheng and his mentor chef Roland Schuller.
They envisioned the restaurant as a simple, yet elegant place to wine and dine, with affordable prices.
Hidden gem. Excellent food, great ambience and reasonably priced.
