10Falsterbo, Sweden
We begin our top list with the beach of Falsterbo.
Located at the south-western tip of Sweden, Falsterbo is mostly known as a holiday destination, best for people to spend their summer vacations.
Here comes the mesmerizing beach. The beach of Falsterbo is known for its white sand and family-friends bathing opportunities.
The beach is simple, unencumbered and most important, clean. There are however high dunes and shady pine and beech woods in certain places.
And if spending the entire day at the beach isn’t quite your thing, Falsterbo has other local attractions, such as Falsterbo Golf Club, one of the best golf courses in Europe, and the annual international Hose Jumping Grand Prix.
9Playa de ses Illetes, Formentera
Next we take a trip to Spain. Formentera is a beautiful island located south of Ibiza.
It’s the smallest island of the Balearic Islands and it can be reached only by ferry from Ibiza.
However, many tourists come here year after year. There’s something about this place. And you already figured it out what.
One of the amazing beaches Formentera has to offer is Illetes. This long stretch of sand extends from La Savina to Espalmador.
Espalmados is a small island which has Illetes on one side and the beach of Llevant on the other.

Playa de las Catedrales, meaning the beach of the cathedrals, is officially called Praia de Augas Santas.
Located in the north-west of Spain, in the region of Galicia, the Spanish beach lies about 10 kilometers from the town of Ribadeo.
It has been declared a Natural Monument by the regional Ministry of the Environment of the Xunta de Galicia.
Playa de las Catedrales is best known for its natural archs and caves, which can be seen only in low tide.
During the low tide, you can gain access to a sand deposit delimited by a wall made form schist and slate.
And when the low tide is lower than usual, then you can enjoy the beaches.
When the water starts to cover the beach again, which happens very quickly, it’s time for you to run quickly as well.
7Playa de la Concha, Spain
Yes, another Spanish beach is one of the best in Europe. Playa de la Concha is located in San Sebastian, Basque Country.
Here, the water is clean, the sand is fine and you have the city right behind you.
Not to mention, San Sebastian is home to the region’s best ‘pintxos’, which is the Basque name for ‘tapas’.
The beach received mixed reviews, such as these ones: ‘The San Sebastian bay is gorgeous and this beach has the lovely traditional amenities that make it so charming. Very well protected from winds too. A must see!’
‘The Concha beach is a beautiful place but is packed with people, you can’t walk calmly on the sand because you’ll have to be jumping sunbathers and avoiding getting hit by a volleyball.

6Praia da Barreta, Portugal
Located in Portugal, Praia da Barreta is an ideal spot for practitioners of water-motor sports, fishing and windsurf.
The beach can be reached by ferry boat from Faro, and once you’ll arrive here, you’ll never want to leave.
The island, Ilha Deserta, is uninhabited, with only the beach and restaurant Estamine opened all year.
Its natural and remote ambiance is what makes this place special, with 10 km coastline containing some of the quietest beaches.
A perfect escape from all that noise in the city.
5Mondello Lido Beach, Sicily
Mondello is a small resort with a mesmerizing beach, located just a short bus ride from the Sicilian capital, Palermo.
The Mondello beach is long and curving, with soft sand and turquoise water, perfect for family and swimmers.
The lively atmosphere might not be exactly what you need, but when you’ll see the pedlars with jewellery, food and drinks, you’ll cheer right up.
The beach also features pastel-colored cabins to rent.
4Es Trenc Beach, Mallorca
Es Trenc Beach is often referred to as ‘Mallorca’s answer to the Caribbean’.
The beach is not attached to any resort. It’s just an isolated beach featuring 2 kilometers of golden sand and crystal clear water, sunbeds and parasols for fire, toilets, ramps for the disabled, restaurants and lifeguards on duty.

3Golden Sands, Bulgaria
One of the most visited beaches in Europe is located on the northern Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. That’s right! We are talking about Golden Sands.
Golden Sands Resort occupies more than 1.800 hectares in the Northern Black Sea coast.
It is best known for the purest sand, hot mineral water springs and lush woodlands. Both the sea and the beaches are clean and pollution free.
Tourists from Romania, Ukraine, Germany, the UK, Russia, France, Israel and other countries are drawn here by the favorable climate, reasonable prices and breathtaking views.
There are many hotels of different categories in the resort, as well as an aqua park and plenty of water sports to practice.
2Myrtos, Greece
Located in the region of Pylaros, in the Ionian Sea of Greece, Myrtos beach lies between 2 mountains, Kalon Oros and Agia Dynati.
It is considered ‘one of the most dramatic beaches in Greece’ with its ‘mile-and-a-half long arc of dazzling white pebbles‘.
Also, this beach was used as the location for the film ‘Captain Corelli’s Mandolin’ and has been voted 12 times the best Greek beach.

1Brela, Croatia
Brela is a municipality in the Split-Dalmatia county of Croatia, and has 2 villages, Brela and Gornja Brela.
The first one is a famous tourist destination, best known as the pearl of Makarska riviera.
In 1968, it was named ‘Champion of Adriatic’ for high achievements in tourist activity.
In 2003, Forbes ranked it on the list of 10 ‘world’s most beautiful beaches’, where it ranked 6th in the world and 1st in Europe.
The sand here is more like gravel, but easy on your feet. The beach is surrounded by pine trees that make the beach a private hideaway, visible for only a few hotels.
