Well known for his work with seafood, Ripert is one of the top chefs in US. His restaurant, Le Bernadin, has been awarded the maximum of 3 Michelin stars, and 4 stars out of 4 from the New York Times, making it one of the best restaurants in the world.
Ripert is a famous face for a lot of people, him appearing on shows such as Anthony Bourdain: No reservations, Treme and Top Chef.
His career started in France, Ripert moving in the United States in 1989, where he worked as a sous chef in the Watergate Hotel’s Jean Louis Palladin restaurant. In 1991 he moved to New York, and in 1994 he became Le Bernardin‘s executive chef, which he now part-owns.
