Founded in 1926, in Belgium, by Joseph Draps, Godiva Chocolatier sells premium, delicious chocolates and in addition to those, also sells coffee, cocoa, biscuits, truffles, chocolate liqueur, shakes, and dipped fruits and sweets.
On December 20, 2007, Godiva was bought by Yildiz Holding, based in Istanbul, Turkey, for $850 million.
Godiva ‘pralines’, typical Belgian filled chocolates, are consumed all over the world.
Today, Godiva owns and operates more than 450 shops worldwide and even has a store in the Harrods Food Hall.
