4.Kalalau Trail, Kauai, Hawaii
This is a special trail for the ocean lovers!
Kauai’s Na Pali coastline means “the cliffs” and once you get there it’s pretty clear why. The 4,000 feet tall cliffs that seem to be covered in green velvet are dramatically dropping into the sparkling Pacific waters below.
The trail was built in the 1800s, but several portions were later rebuilt in the 1930s and it features some of the most spectacular scenery in the world with 5 major valleys to be crossed.
This is an 11-mile trail and the time to be done depends on your experience. If you’re a pro hiker it will take you one day to complete the entire trail, but if you’re more of a beginner you can take a rest in the camp along the way and complete the trail in two days like most of the hikers.
You will never forget those narrow areas along the cliffs that go down thousands of feet to the ocean below!
