The restaurant features an interior embellished with fresh flowers, offering an ideal escapism from the city’s clutter.
Their menu changes seasonally and it features touches brought from world travels.
They have some of the best cocktails and colored juices.
But we recommend their custom blended coffee, the best choice for a morning full of energy.
9Jordan Restaurant
Next on our top list is Jordan, with a beautiful setting and equally beautiful food.
We recommend the garlic alioli served with bread, the lemon poppyseed and honey souffle, served with creme anglaise and vanilla bean ice cream.

At Mezbaan you can enjoy some great dishes. The restaurant serves Mughlai, which is a cuisine that originates from Northern India.

7Umi Restaurant
Located in Camps Bay, the first highlight this restaurant has is the uninterrupted ocean view.
Umi, meaning ‘sea’ in Japanese, serves premium sushi. Aside from sushi, we recommend nigiri and maki.
Australian Chef Scott Hallsworth was commissioned to ensure the authenticity of the meals.
Let’s talk a bit about the decor. Umi has a seating capacity for 250 guests and also features a stylish terrace bar for 80 people.
Walls, embossed with Japanese pattern work, encapsulate the venue.
The restaurant received positive reviews: ‘FANTASTIC food. All very fresh combined with beautiful perfect location. Service was top notch. Great for romance, night out as well as a spot to people watch…Not intimidating!‘

6Beluga Restaurant
On #6 we have the Beluga Restaurant, located at The Foundry, Prestwich Street, near to Waterfront and Victoria Junction.

The fine dining venue was relaunched in 2006, and has become one of Cape Town’s most loved restaurants. If you’re into fresh sushi and seafood, Beluga is the place to be.

5La Colombe Restaurant

4The Opal Lounge
Located on Kloof Street, The Opal Lounge is known as one of the most romantic venues in Cape Town.

The restaurant has 2 rooms, The Persian Lounge and The Bar Lounge.
The first room features oriental rugs, dark red walls and beautiful lanterns, while the second room is studded with Far Eastern antiques and Louis XV-inspired furnishings.
The Opal Lounge also has a veranda, which can accommodate up to 20 guests.
We loved the restaurant’s wine list. It is beautifully presented in a heavy black leather folder.

3Aubergine Restaurant
Probably the oldest restaurant in our top list, Aubergine Restaurant opened its doors in September 1996.
Located at 39 Barnet St, Gardens, the venue received numerous local and international awards and has been consistently rated among the top restaurants in Cape Town.
It is housed in an old building said to date back to 1830, and its tall ceilings and thick walls are the proof to this heritage.
Its decor will impress you the moment you step in. Comfortable, yet refined, the interior is embellished with contemporary fine art.
The restaurant’s menu is a tribute to the South African ingredients like ostrich, springbok and kabeljou.
And under the attention of Chef Harald Bresselschmidt, the dishes will make your taste buds tingle.

2Delaire Graff Restaurant

1The Roundhouse Restaurant
At Round House Rd, Camps Bay, you’ll find the best luxury restaurant in Cape Town.
Nestled in the glens of Table Mountain, the restaurant offers views of Camps Bay.
The original building was a guardhouse, built in 1786, by the Dutch East india Company. Since then, the building was also a hotel, a dance hall and, most famously, Lord Charles Somerset’s hunting lodge.
Today it is the best fine dining venue in Cape Town.
The venue offers an outdoor dining area, called The Rumbullion, for a better view.
It received only positive reviews: 1) ‘This is an excellent restaurant with great food, however it comes with a hefty price tag. We had a tasting menu with paired wines, all the courses were beautifully prepared and presented.’
2) ‘This is well worth a visit if you get the chance! You would need to book a table in advance for supper, when you do ask for a table by the window. The menu is a 4 course a la carte so go hungry – the food is unbelievable!!!
The menu does change fairly often but it has a large selection t choose from and you can mix and match the food as you like. One definite recommendation is the soufflé for desert if its on the menu! The wine list is rather intense as well. ‘
