Although officially open on Thursday and Fridays, keep an ear out for the fabulous private parties thrown by the fashion crowd since the ultra hip bar is frequented by the likes of Sofia Coppola, Kate Moss and Patti Smith as well as designers Haider Ackermann, Stefano Pilati, photographer Mario Testino and art world power Jay Jopling.
The place is renowned for its private parties given by the likes of hot fashion designers Haider Ackermann and Zero’s Maria Cornejo, British art-world power Jay Jopling, and Coppola.
Snug in size, 12 Bis consists of a bar upstairs and a downstairs salon-cum–dining area. Due to Victoria Fernandez’s warmly lit and elegantly minimal decor—think flea market finds like 18th-century mercury mirrors—12 Bis feels like hanging out in a cool friend’s den.
