10Viper Room
We begin our top list with Viper Room, an underground place located at Landstr Hauptstr 38.
Two floors underneath the surface level is where the real party is.
We recommend to leave your phones at home, as there is no network down there.
And although the nightclub has no regular DJ line up or a music schedule, large crowds come here to party every weekend.
Why? Because the Viper Room is the ideal place for true rockers. The venue provides lots of events that can vary from heavy metal sounds to LGBT events.
9Club U
Next on our top list is Club U, which you can find at the Karlsplatz, inside the Art Nouveau Otto Wagner Pavilion.
It is situated in the basement and can be reached directly via an underground passage.
Its yellow interior will get your attention since the moment you step foot into the venue.
At Club U clubbers can enjoy a wide range of music genres, from soul, to hip hop and techno.
Also, the venue has cozy seating areas positioned around the small dance floor, but that doesn’t seem to bother anyone.
Because when the party really gets wild, people dance throughout the venue.
8Clubschiff
Clubschiff, located at Schwedenplatz, looks now more amazing than before.
Since early December, last year, the venue’s sun deck has been redesigned, making it a perfect open air location, right on the water.
Down on a boat in the Danube, Clubschiff offers live music and club nights, as well as mesmerizing views over the river.
Picture this: you and your partner, enjoying a cocktail on a boat where there’s a wild party going on. You can forget about the Venetian gondola.
7Donau Techno
On #7 we have Donau Techno, a nightspot loved for its good music, nice crowds and hard drinks.
The place can be difficult to be spotted, as there is no big sign or a large entrance, just a security guard standing in front of a door, in a lonely street.
However, if you do find Donau Techno, you’ll have a memorable time.
As its name suggests, the venue is the ideal place for the techno music lovers. It features large sized visuals on the walls, turning the whole room into a screen.

6OST Klub
Located at Schwarzenbergplatz 10/1 in a historic cellar, the OST Klub used to be a bazaar, and later a jazz club since 2005.
Today, it is one of the best nightclubs in Vienna. Also, it is the center for the balkan music.
Balkan beats, turbo polka, gypsy swing … You can expect all these at the OST Klub.
And when the band starts to play, we guarantee that nobody remains seated.
5Grelle Forelle
Well known for bringing many international DJs of all electronic music genres, the Grelle Forelle offers a great quality in their program.
To enter this awesome club, you’ll have to pay an entrance fee (12 EUR), but it’s all worth it.
The venue features a spacious bar in the middle, a gigantic dance floor with fancy light installations, glass tiled walls and several tables in the back.
Located next to the Danube, the Grelle Forelle is one of the best places in Vienna to spend the night. However, the party starts around 1 AM.
So make sure you’ll find another place to begin partying, before going to the Grelle Forelle.
4Chelsea
On #4 we have Chelsea, a place that for 27 years is providing the city good music.
If you’re into punk, rock, indie and pop, Chelsea is the place to be.
It has a typical flair of an underground club, with lounge chairs and a stylish design.
Also, if you’re into soccer, the venue also shows football games on a big screen, located outdoor.
3Flex
Being one of the most popular and well known nightspots of the city, the Flex is a club loved by both local clubbers and tourists.
For every Viennese who spent a night at Flex, there’s an awesome story behind it.
The venue opens between 9 PM and 23:00, and there you’ll find large groups of teenagers.
Also, Flex is a nice venue to go and chill in summer, as it has lots of benches right in the front that are serviced by the Flex Cafe.
2Chaya Fuera
The second best nightclub in Vienna is the Chaya Fuera, located in the 7th district.
The venue is for those who seek stylish locations, exquisite cocktails and unknown sounds.
Their sound selection ranges from international pop hits to fresh new ones, as well as from electro to rock and soul.
During the week, at Chaya Fuera you can enjoy live music. Chaya Fuera, meaning ‘the life outside’ has inside an exclusive decor, with over 20 projectors screen visuals by international artists on the walls.
1Pratersauna
Our journey ends here, at Pratersauna, a former sauna in Vienna’s Prater that has quickly developed into the best nightclub in the city.
Its interior features several floors that operate at the same time. The music here ranges from minimal techno to electro live acts.
The old sauna, which was built in 1965, still blends with the contemporary, newly designed elements. And you should see their toilets! They are a sensation, thanks to All Austrian Arts.
Summer is the best season to party at Pratersauna. The venue has an amazing garden and terrace.
