10Eden
We begin our top list with Eden, a beautiful venue located at 1716 I St NW. Although the venue has no snakes, there’s plenty of temptation to be found here.
At Eden you’ll experience the city’s infamous culture of beauty and green spirit, as well as a chic atmosphere and intimate service.
The venue features a lush outdoor rooftop called Garden of Eden and 3 unique floors with names like Green Room and the Forbidden Room.
While listening and dancing to music from world-class DJs, you can also enjoy nightly themed events and exclusive cocktails. So what are you waiting for?
9Little Miss Whiskey’s Golden Dollar
At 1104 H St NE you’ll find Little Miss Whiskey’s Golden Dollar, a place to dance and watch all New Orleans Saints games.
Every Monday is LaBomba, a stand up comedy show hosted by Ryan Schutt. But perhaps Kostume Karaoke is more your thing, and those events take place every 1st and 3rd Wednesday.
Also, for the lovers of alternative music from the 80s, you might want to visit the venue every 2nd and 5th Wednesday, when they host Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
To describe Little Miss Whiskey’s Golden Dollar in a few words: ‘talented DJs, an unpretentious vibe, dozens of beers and a gorgeous patio combine to make the venue one of the top stops on H Street‘.
And you have to give the place some credit! The purple walls are covered with old concert posters with vintage frames.
Over the bar there are several Gothic lamps hanging, while the back patio is decorated by purple lanterns that hang from an overhead trellis, a wall of green trees and plants, metal benches and a fountain with water gushing from a lion’s head.
8Josephine
On #8 we have Josephine Nightclub and Lounge, located at 1008 Vermont Ave NW. Apparently, the highlight here is Jerome Baker, Josephine’s DJ.
And DJ Theresa is no inferior. They succeed to make lots of loyal fans in only one night.
The venue is famous for its luxurious playground that provides DC’s young and fun-loving thrill seekers.
Josephine, named after Napoleon’s first wife, has a capacity of 500 people and it is described as ‘a dark and mysterious adult fun house, all done up in black walls, lavender lights and multifaceted mirrors with embedded LEDs everywhere you look.’
Its interior is embellished with diamond-shaped mirrors that give the venue an elegant look.
Plush VIP tables surround a sunken dance floor and more luxury exists in the club’s Gold Room.
7The Huxley
Located at 1730 M St NW, The Huxley directly caters to the District’s most affluent clientele by providing a Vegas-style customer service.
The Huxley is home for corporate events, happy hours, private parties and many more. Both The Ballroom and The Library are decorated so they can bring old world luxury to Washington’s new world elite.
The venue features a 4.600 square foot space that can accommodate up to 300 people and 2 independent party rooms with full service bars and LED flat screens.

5Town Danceboutique

Located at 2009 8th St NW, the venue is actually the largest gay club in Washington DC, a combination of a cabaret performance space, a high energy dance club and a plush lounge.
It features 2 floors, multiple rooms, LED lighting, an outside smoking area and multiple seating areas.
If you wish to view numerous choreographed routines, Town Danceboutique is the ideal place.
The nightspot opens at 10PM and the best day to go is Friday, when you can enjoy excellent performance of the GoGo Boys.
4Ultrabar
Located at 911 F St NW, Ultrabar boasts 5 floors, each with its own event options, state of the art lighting, sound systems and projection screens.
The venue also has 12 HD TVs, 6 full service bars, 26 tables and 4 DJ booths.
Ultrabar’s Main Floor is the most spacious level, with 2.200 square feet and it is decorated with contemporary furnishings.
For an intimate time, the venue’s Basement is perfect. Its decor includes bank safety deposit boxes, a marble bar and glass casing.
The Mezzanine overlooks the grand main floor and it is also a perfect retreat for a more private ambiance.
But the real deal here is the Bedroom, located on the second level. And the highlight here is the long, stainless steel bar.
Ultrabar also has a VIP level called Chroma, decorated with color kinetic lighting.
3Rock & Roll Hotel
On #3 we have Rock & Roll Hotel, located at 1353 H Street N.E., between 13th and 14th streets Northeast.
Don’t let the name fool you. The venue is neither a hotel or lodging facility. It is a nightclub established in 2006 in the H St Corridor of Washington DC.
They host original bands from around the country and globe.
Featuring 3 floors (the concert hall, rooftop deck and 2nd floor lounge), Rock & Roll Hotel also serves food and you can order it from the bar, as there is no wait service.
2Dirty Bar
Located at 1223 Connecticut Ave NW, Dirty Bar, as the name suggests it, screams ‘sexy’ and ‘mystery’. The only nightclub same as Dirty Bar is Moulin Rouge.
DirtyBar can accommodate up to 500 guests and features a large bird cage, a swing, stylish VIP table service and it is also available for private events.
Highlights include 52-inch plasma TVs, valet parking and DJ booth.
Ladies, Friday is Ladies Night, and groups of 6 or more receive a free bottle of champagne.

19:30 Club
The best nightclub in the capital of U.S., where you can party until the sun comes up, is 9:30 Club, located at 815 V St NW.
It originally opened in 1980 at 930 F St. NW in downtown Washington. 9:30 is co-owned by Seth Hurwitz and Rich Heinecke and has a capacity of 1200 people.
From 2007 until 2012, 9:30 won the Top Clubs award through Billboard Touring Awards.
As some reviewers have said, 9:30 is ‘by far the best place in D.C. to watch live music in a closed space‘.
And we have to agree. The nightclub hosted tons of live concerts like The Smashing Pumpkins, Snow Patrol and Empire of the Sun.
