After being a chef in a restaurant in Manhattan that completely failed, Thomas Keller opened his own restaurant, The French Laundry, which is a top class restaurant in Yountville, owning three Michelin Stars.
The restaurant is located in a turn-of-the-century stone building, with a blue door and is well known for its contemporary American food such as baby lamb chop, bouquets of spring vegetables, or sheep’s milk dumplings.
The menu of the day has two options, one traditional and one vegetarian, each having nine courses.
The French Laundry was a recipient of the AAA Five Diamond Award in 2012. And yes, this is the same man who owns #6, so he must be really good, right? Well he is. Thomas Keller is considered to be the best chef in the US, his Per Se restaurant in NY having three Michelin stars as well.
