10. Linkin Park – Hybrid Theory | 10 Million Copies

Released on October 24, back in 2000, the Hybrid Theory represented half a decade’s worth of the band’s work.

Edited by Don Gilmore, the album sold more than 4.8 million copies during its debut year, and was considered a massive success, and it even earned the best-selling album of 2001 award.

Some of the singles from the album were even featured in movies like Dracula 2000, Little Nicky, and Valentine, and others established themselves as staples among alternative rock radio play lists during that year.

Hybrid Theory was nominated for two  Grammy Awards: Best New Artist and Best Rock Album, and won a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance for the song “Crawling”.
