2.George Clooney – Batman & Robin
George Clooney, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chris O’Donnell, Uma Thurman and Alicia Silverstone, all together in a movie. Seems like a pretty good movie to watch, right?
Well, not really, if you consider I am talking about the 1997 Batman & Robin. With a production budget of $125 million, the movie was quite a big fail, and it only earned a domestic gross of $107 million.
George Clooney seems to be regretting his first big-budget action adventure film, where he wore that nipple-showing funny batsuit. He admits of getting caught up in the excitement, and imagined that the movie would be a great hit.
“With hindsight it’s easy to look back at this and go, ‘Woah, that was really s**t and I was really bad in it. It was a difficult film to be good in.”
The funniest thing is that years later, director Joel Schumacher even publicly apologised for the movie in an interview. Oh, Wow, that must have hurt.
Nevertheless, Clooney said it was a good experience on set working with the others. And it seems like the movie didn’t affect his career at all.
Don’t we all have the same regret as Oprah? ->
