10- Queen Latifah at Burger King
The actress started from the bottom just like the rest of us. Once, in an interview she said that if she and her brother wanted money, they have to get jobs.
Latifah also said her first job was at 15 at Burger King.
Her biography has a section dedicated to working at Burger King. The biography says that sometimes on Saturday nights she would close the restaurant and spend the rest of the evening at hip-hop clubs.
Now she is a grown woman who has spent most of her career singing and acting, but her love for burgers didn’t fade away.
According to Forbes magazine, she launched a Fatburger franchise in Miami, Florida.
9- Pink at McDonald’s
Everybody starts from the bottom, and Pink is not an exception.
Everyone is surprised of how much work Pink puts into her shows, but they don’t know how much work she did before the shows.
Yes, she started singing at the clubs when she was only 14, but back then music did pay the bills.
So, there was when she decided to go work at McDonald’s for the extra money. And of course now she is happy that music pays better than working there.
In an interview she mentioned that sometimes she dreams she is back working at McDonald’s.
But now she is a famous singer who has a lots of awards and who never has to go back there.
8- Jason Lee at Taco Bell
Before he was this famous, (known for his TV show My Name is Earl), Lee was a professional skateboarder.
He was a known presence on the scene in the late 1990s and even co-founded Stereo Skateboards.
But just like music was for Pink, being a professional skateboarded didn’t pay the bills.
Jason worked with American-Mexican far at Taco Bell, or at least that’s what the book Fame Junkies: The Hidden Truths Behind America’s Favorite Addiction by Jake Halpern says.
Today, he doesn’t need to work for any fast food any time soon due to his acting career.
7- Eva Longoria at Wendy’s
This Desperate Housewife worked at the Wendy’s before she was this famous.
It happened way back, before she ever became an actress she worked at the burger-centric fast food restaurant for 3 years in 1990s.
She was working at the Wendy’s while she was attending high school in Corpus Christi.
After those three years, she moved on and focused on other things. Things like her Bachelor degree in kinesiology and earned the title of Miss Corpus Christi.
Starting in Desperate Housewives was the “sign” she needed to choose the acting career among other things.
6- Russell Simmons at Orange Julius
Who said that successful businessmen can’t have an early career in fast food?
The co-founder of Def Jam Records and fashion line creator Russell Simmons is the perfect example that a successful businessman can have an early career in fast food!
Before he was this rich and famous, he started working on the most common field- fast food.
His first job was at an Orange Julius, where he worked for only a month while he was in high school.
He admitted in an interview for Forbes magazine that: “I got $2.25 an hour, as I remember. I was fired after a month, so I learned you need to be inspired about work.”
5- James Franco at McDonald’s
I knew about this when a saw James Franco Roasted by Comedy Central. They were joking on how Franco started working at McDonald’s.
Working at a fast food was one of his many jobs he had over the years, including: acting, teacher, author, painter and poet.
It happened when he stopped attending UCLA in order to focus on acting, but he still needed money for the acting.
Because of his passion- acting- he started working the drive-thru at a local McDonald’s. We know how funny Franco can be, so is no surprise when I say this: he liked to mess with the customers by using different accents while taking their order.
He told the Chicago Sun Times, “I’d be French and then Italian. One girl who liked me came around the drive-thru again and said, ‘Could you give me some Italian lessons?.”
4- Rachel McAdams at McDonald’s
Before she starred in The Notebook next to Ryan Gosling, she got her start in a Canadian McDonald’s.
She spent three years working there before making the move to America.
“I’m not sure why they kept me: I am something of a daydreamer and a dawdler, so they would only let me be the ‘friendly voice’ that greeted you when you entered the restaurant.
I was slow — I would be organizing the sweet-and-sour packets in the customer’s takeout bag while the line snaked out the door” she told T Magazine.
3- Brad Pitt at El Pollo Loco
And now we reached number three where we have Brad Pitt. His story is a bit different than most of celebrities we have in our list.
He wasn’t the regular worker to stand behind a counter or in front of a grill all day. Nope, his work was just outside the restaurant.
The actor was dressed as a chicken to entice potential customers driving by to come into the El Pollo Loco.

Other job she had was a prosecuting attorney for Brooklyn’s district attorney. We know that she had to start somewhere.
And she did start at McDonald’s.
According to Business Insider, she worked as a fry cook at the popular fast food chain.
Those familiar with Star’s struggle with weight loss may not be surprised at that choice of job. Still, she had success in her weight loss after a gastric bypass surgery in 2003.

Who would have thought that President Barack Obama started from the bottom? He used to work for the popular ice cream chain called Baskin-Robbins.
The famous ice cream chain holds two significant personal events in the life of President Barack Obama.
First, he scooped ice cream at the Honolulu, Hawaii Baskin-Robbins, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Perhaps this is where he learned those leadership skills he has.
Second, he had his very first kiss with his now-wife Michelle right in front of a Chicago location of the chain, according to Huffington Post.
The city even erected a plaque there to commemorate the event.
