The Meher and Riddhima Fall/Winter inspiration is derived from the Elizabethan Era – which is also known as the Golden Age. It was the reign of Queen Elizabeth in Great Britain and the most prominent age in English history. It saw the flowering of poetry, music and literature. The era is most famous for theatre, as William Shakespeare and many others composed plays that broke free of England’s past style of theatre. It was an age of exploration and expansion.
It was an inspiring period for dramatic and creative clothing, M&R draws inspiration from the ruffles on collars and cuffs, a trend that originally started in men’s clothing and was later adorned by the Queen herself. The exaggerated ruffles and strong details in the Queen’s different clothes exuded femininity, while also depicting her powerful status. M&R strives to empower women through their clothes and hence the Era is a perfect reflection of the same.
The colors palette of royal purple, teal, noir, ivory and red in the collection depict the royal Era. Heavier fabrics such as Jacquard, Georgettes, Satin and Taffeta are combined with softer Lace and Crepe di chine to form a versatile collection. The collection also includes a bold flower print in red, noir and ivory.

Raha Moharrak is the youngest Arab and the first Saudi woman to conquer Mount Everest.
