Because who would say no to the desire to devour and breath Gucci? The premium Italian fashion house has made it possible and now with its new restaurant, the sales for the fashion house will hit the roof.
Gucci has made its place among the Shanghai’s premium dining circuit and everyone got crazy about it.
The fashion house named its first ever restaurant 1921 Gucci Café and it took them two years to finally open its doors to public. The name is after the year the Italian fashion label was founded.
It is a big step for them from fashion to food scene, but they did it anyway and opened its first full-scale restaurant.
Where it is located?
The new Shanghai venue 1921 Gucci restaurant is located on the fourth level of the luxurious IAPM mall.
If one would want to dine at the fancy restaurant would have to take an elevator from the Gucci store itself to reach its destination.
But once you step into the place that’s similar with heaven, you will find yourself surrounded by premium velvet, and merchandise sporting the 1921 logo.
The logo can be seen on everything from silverware and handwoven fine customized napkins to menus.
The brand is adding a gastronomic workshop to its repertoire with the opening of this restaurant.
What are they serving? What’s in the menu?
The menu awaits your presence with a curated selection of Italian inspired dishes, another nod to the label’s roots, all made with the most premium flavors and the freshest of ingredients.
If you take a quick look at the menu, which is also personalized with the restaurant logo, you’ll find for example, scallop carpaccio with green asparagus and sweet and sour orange, bruschetta with truffle, linguine with basil pesto and parmesan cheese, mango tiramisu and much more.
The food is designed by Chef Giuliano Dacasto and it’s absolutely delicious compared with the reasonable prices.
While the two-course luncheon starting from Lunch runs around 150RMB ($24) per person, while dinner is around 300RMB, dinner demands double the value!
Leaving behind the good looking food from the menu, the interiors are just as amazing as the dishes, because after all, we are talking about Gucci.
With luscious dark wood setting the tone, and plush velvet seats, gold accents on table tops and menu lettering, the brand has outdone itself this time.
After all this is like the Gucci leather bag, every piece of food is an art itself.
The décor is chic and classy and the ambiance is great. We are sure that this will become one of the best restaurants in Shanghai.
