Highest Tipping Celebrities | TOP 10
Which are the highest tipping celebrities?
When you work in the movie business for example and you are successful, your wallet can take a high bill every time you go out, right?
But not everyone in this list works in movie business; we also have one President and one famous wrestler, plus a comedian.
Why do they tip so much? Imagine if you were their waitress, your night will be awesome from many reasons.
I know, they are a public figure and they need to keep the profile clean, but still there is no particular reason why they should tip big. Also I heard that if a celebrity wants to become a regular at some restaurant, their tip should be big.
Do you think that’s the reason they tip so much?
Next you will be amazed of some of the most generous tippers. Let’s start our top 10 Highest Tipping Celebrities and see which one is on #1!
10. Barack Obama
Yes, the President of United States made it on our top Highest Tipping Celebrities.
What’s the tip he left? You will be surprised to hear that he only paid with a $20 for a $2 beer and told the bartender to keep the change. I guess that beer was damn good.
This happened in the time when he was running for office, when he grabbed a bear at Raleigh Times Bar in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Told you we have a President in our top, didn’t I? Do you think an $18 dollars is a good tip for a beer? You thought that Presidents don’t drink beer? Well, here is the proof they do!
I can assure you that Mister President gave the cheapest tip from our top! Keep moving to #9!
9. Dan Aykroyd
Remember Mister Dan Aykroyd? I know I do! He used to play one of the three Ghostbusters from the movie with the same name.
It seems that the fame he gained after the movie he wrote and played in (was released in 1984) his wallet can still pay big bills at the restaurants.
He is in our list of highest tipping celebrities due to its spending habits. It seems that Dan is a regular at some restaurant in Syracuse, New York.
His waitress claims that he comes there and that he normally leaves either $100 or 50% of the tab, which if you think about it, is quite the amount.
8. Bill Murray
I simply love this man, he is so funny and a great actor. Apparently he is also one of the highest tipping celebrities.
According to a waiter, Bill’s wallet can take a big tip- a 120 percent tip on a $60 check. That’s quite impressive for check!
But not only that, he was also helpful; he showed the waiter how to make lemon wedges juicier by rolling the lemon on the cutting board before the slicing part.
So, not only that the bartender learned something helpful, but he also got good money out of it.
One of the Charlie’s Angels is very generous!
7. Drew Barrymore
This one is tricky. Why? According to Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty), before she was the movie star, she used to work as a bartender and got the chance to serve Drew Barrymore.
She had this chance twice and both times Barrymore doubled-up the bill tipping 100%. Ortiz says that Barrymore was a peach when she served her.
It was quite nice for Ortiz to serve Barrymore. Who would refuse such a tipper?
We appreciate that Ana Ortiz admitted that she started from the bottom and spoke really nice about Charlie’s Angels star.
6. Russell Crowe
Russell Crowe is another celebrity that uses to tip high. He is ranked 6th on the list with highest tipping celebrities.
It all happened in South Wales, when the movie star was on vacation.
He stopped by the Carew Inn in Tenby for a quick drink with friends and left a £600 tip making the bartender a happy man that day.
Do you think that Russell’s tipping was just one time thing or you know other stories about it? Don’t hesitate to let us know if you do!
The former host of Whose Line Is It Anyway!
5. Drew Carey
Apparently when you are one of the richest stand-up comedians in the world you can afford to make your waiter happy by leaving big tips.
From being a comedian and producer his net worth is pretty solid and so are his tipping habits.
Once he dined at Arnie Morton steakhouse in LA and put together a tab for about $250.
He was a gentleman and left a $400 tip, almost he doubled the bill.
Good guy, Mister Drew Carey! We like you!
He has/had his own reality-show!
4. Hulk Hogan
Nope, is not The Hulk from Avengers but this Hulk looks similar to that one!
This dude gained his reputation of both generous and down to earth person and is now the waiters’ favorite.
One guy from South Florida claims that mister Hulk Hogan tipped $80 on a $120 ticket.
If you though he has the reputation of down to earth person for nothing you couldn’t be more wrong.
That time when he paid $80 to a $120 ticket he also took the time to take pictures and sign autographs with fans among the restaurant staff when he finished eating.
The former half from Two and a Half Men!
3. Charlie Sheen
It happened one time when Charlie’s daughter Cassandra Jade Estevez had her Sweet Sixteen.
Charlie decided to show off his good and generous side by tipping everyone on the staff $200 for their efforts and to show his appreciation.
The people who helped him at his daughter’s party gained something extra for their efforts and Charlie gained more popularity and respect in the news around the world.
He has also been known to tip $100 at beauty salons. He also knows how to take care of him, no?
The English footballer tips big –>
2. David Beckham
The English football legend is known for his spending habits.
The highest tip Beckham gave was when he was with LA Galaxy, and he and some teammates stopped by Joxer Daily’s Pub in Culver City, California.
They went for some beers and snacks and in the end the tab was $100 but Beckham gave them $1,000 and told them to keep the change.
He paid $1,000 for mineral water (that’s the only think he drank), and after that stopped and signed autographs for everyone who asked one.
David Beckham, we like that attitude!
A much appreciated movie star here at Ealuxe.com!
1. Johnny Depp
We said like million times that here at Ealuxe.com we love Johnny and appreciate everything he does.
This story is not an exception to that rule. He leaves the highest tips everywhere he goes, after all he is one of the most famous actors ever.
They said he left $4,000 tip on a top of the $4,400 bill and by that made his waitress at that time a very happy human being.
But what did he eat for $4,400 bill? Johnny Depp is one of the richest actors in the world, so we are not that surprised there.
Now, that you’ve seen who’s the one that gives the highest tip, what do you think? Would you like to be their waitress for one night?
