Take a look at some of the Kardashian’s favourite luxury resorts around the world.
Have you ever wondered what the Kardashian’s favourite luxury resorts are? Of course you have. Being America’s First Family, the Kardashians have plenty to spend on luxury getaways and private villas, so their roster of vacations are enviable to say the least. They’ve probably been to every continent, and every season their vacations get better and better, with more and more glamorous and adventurous activities added to their itineraries.
No Kardashian vacation is complete without a yacht, a palatial resort, a local personal trainer, and maybe even the odd photoshoot thrown in.
All documented on their hit E! reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, their holidays are usually as drama-filled as any other episode.
Arguments, feuds and stony silence over another 5-course dinner, it makes for great viewing every single time. Plus, the backdrops are spectacular. Let’s take a look at the top 5 below.
1. Volcano View Hotel, Santorini, Greece.
The Greek island of Santorini (often referred to as ‘the diamond’ of the Greek islands) is synonymous with luxury travel and A-list guests, partly due to its unrivalled views and priceless sunset. The sunset in itself is a tourist attraction here, with hundreds swarming to the hotspot of Oia each evening to catch a glimpse of one of the most famous sunsets in the world.
The whole Kardashian crew stayed at the Volcano View Hotel, which guarantees exceptional views of the sunset and the Caldera, in April 2013. The Volcanic View Hotel has luxury suites, private candlelit dinners on request and 3 different pools to choose from (that is, if you fancy a change from the clear blue seas).
2. Casa De Campo, Dominican Republic.
The majority of the Kardashian’s luxury trips are tainted with drama unfortunately, to the point where the viewer often wishes they were there instead of them, because they would appreciate it infinitely more. Their trip to the Dominican Republic was no different, and even the clear blue seas they could see from their private villa didn’t cheer them up.
Casa de Campo’s exclusive villas come equipped with private concierge service, spa treatments, a golf course, your own personal golf carts to explore the 7,000-acre resort and much, much more. And if you can’t bear to abandon your fitness regime for even a day, there’s also a private fitness centre. Villas start at $4,270 a night, and that’s not including tax, so start saving now.
3. Iniala Beach House, Phuket, Thailand.
The Kardashian’s April 2014 trip to Thailand was one of the most luxurious yet. Rumoured to cost $150k a week, the luxury beachfront estate in Phuket was truly paradise. The bedrooms open up onto the beach, the pool has perfect views of the Thai sunrise, and of course there’s an obligatory infinity pool too. Like the rest of their private resorts, this estate comes equipped with a butler too, obviously.
Without doubt one of the most boldly designed of their holiday homes, the Iniala beach house was designed by Graham Lamb and includes decadent, almost tactile, bedrooms and various natural materials throughout. The room Kim stayed in was complete with a leather bed suspended from the ceiling, an all glass shower and a private hot tub. I’m not turning green, you are.
4. Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort and Spa, Bora Bora.
Hilton’s unique Bora Bora destination is one of the most awe-inspiring and unusual of the Kardashian’s favourite luxury resorts. Made up of various small suites in man-made lagoon islands, each hut is joined together with a walk way above an azure blue sea. And they might look simple from the outside, but inside they all have four-poster beds, marble bathrooms and tradition Polynesian artwork on the walls.
If you fancy getting out of your private, sea-skimming hut, there are a choice of kayaks and catamarans, snorkelling lessons, saunas, steam rooms and a private islet which you can rent for picnics and romantic dinners.
5. Belz Chateau, Big Sky, Montana, USA.
It’s not all sun and sea in the life of a Kardashian. Occasionally they swap it for snow, skiis, and ludicrously expensive winter clothes. Belz Chateau in Big Sky, Montana, is a luxurious ski lodge surrounded by snow-covered mountains. With a choice of 5 bedrooms, a fire pit, hot tub, movie theatre, and grounds spanning 3.5 acres, it must be hard to decide whether to go out or stay in!
Montana is famous for its outdoor activities, including skiing, fishing and golfing. The chateau is right beside 5,000 acres of perfect snow and ski area, and there’s even a spa where you can work out a few of those muscle kinks after a long day on the slopes.
Which of the Kardashian’s favourite luxury resorts would you choose? And no, it can’t be all of them…
