As you know, Marilyn was married with baseball star Joe DiMaggio. He was the second of her three brief marriages.
DiMaggio put on her finger in January 14, 1954, a platinum and diamond eternity wedding ring. The eternity band included a 35 baguette-cut diamonds and soon became one of the most expensive rings in history.
Their marriage didn’t last long, as you are well aware. After eight months they decided to go on separate ways.
Back then the ring seemed to have vanished but it reappeared during a Christine’s auction in 1999 with one diamond missing.
