The 1939 production, “Wuthering Heights” revealed the story of lovers Cathy and Heathcliff told by a servant in the house of Wuthering Heights.
Although “Wuthering Heights” is rated as one of the classics of English literature written by Emily Bronte, the movie wasn’t really a success.
At the Oscar Awards in 1939, the movie only succeeded to take home a single Oscar award, the one for Best Cinematography.
That’s a pity, but at least years later, the movie was sold at an auction for the fabulous sum of $226,876!
