Iron Man tells us the origin story of the playboy weapons manufacturer – Tony Stark and also tells us his adventures.
The movie is telling the detailed history of the character and in the same time is introducing us various other characters from the original comics.
The budget was high, estimated at $140 million but the movie was so good that it doubled its money grossing more than $300 million.
The director Jon Favreau chose Robert Downey Jr. because like Tony Stark “the best and worst moments of (his) life have been in the public eye.” He also felt that Downey Jr would be able to portray Stark as “a likeable asshole”.
