How much is Ashish Chanchlani worth in 2026?

Our estimate is $2.9 million, in a range of $1.5 million to $6 million. This one is a rough estimate: little of the money is documented. He has published no earnings, so everything below rests on audience numbers, which we say plainly, and on modelled rates. We convert at 94.76 rupees to the dollar, the rate on November 3, 2026.

Public estimates range from about $3 million to about $10 million, with ?40 crore a common line. They disagree because they use different assumed incomes and rarely take off tax or crew. One monthly income table we opened lists ranges adding up to ?32 to ?50 lakh and then gives a total of ?30 lakh plus, which tells you the care involved.

How Ashish Chanchlani built it

  • Bet on long-form storytelling. Ekaki, his directorial debut, premiered on YouTube in November 2025.
  • Published less, not more. His main channel has 212 videos and 5.79 billion views, about 27 million views a video.
  • Earned back half the cost. A March 2026 interview says YouTube revenue recovered about half the Ekaki budget.

How we got to $2.9 million

Source Our estimate What it rests on
YouTube ads, main channel $1.74 million Assumption: $0.30 per 1,000 views on 5.79 billion lifetime views, per vidIQ on November 3, 2026. The model’s recent rate looks lower. Long sketches earlier may have paid more.
Brand deals $2.78 million Assumption, resting on audience size. Since 2021, six years at $380,000: three dedicated videos at $60,000 and ten Instagram posts at $20,000, the low ends of an algorithmic fee guide, which also shows a far higher Instagram rate elsewhere on the page, so treat it as rough. Before that, five years at $100,000.
Live shows and merchandise $0.84 million Assumption: ?11 lakh a month, the midpoint of an unsourced 2025 profile’s ranges. It comes to ?1.32 crore or about $139,000 yearly, for six years.
Crew and production Minus $1.07 million Assumption: 20 percent of the $5.36 million above.
Income tax Minus $1.29 million Assumption: 30 percent of the $4.29 million left.
Living costs Minus $0.6 million Assumption: 10 years at $60,000.
Ekaki shortfall Minus $0.1 million Our calculation below: half of an implied $200,000 budget not yet recovered.
Investment returns $0.55 million Assumption: half of the $2.3 million left, earning 6 percent after tax for 8 years.
Total $2.9 million The rows sum to about $2.85 million, which we round.

What Ekaki’s budget must have been

Ekaki, his directorial debut, is the most useful money clue he has given. Episode 1 premiered on November 27, 2025, on the ACV Studios channel, whose ad money isn’t in our main-channel row. By January 19, 2026, four chapters had about 100 million combined views. Then in a Hollywood Reporter India interview, updated March 24, 2026, the piece says he has recovered about half of the budget from YouTube revenue. He also corrected a reported ?15 crore budget, saying it was “closer to a small DIY indie film.”

That lets us do a sum. ?15 crore is about $1.58 million. Recovering half of that from 100 million views would need $7.91 per thousand, far above any rate modelled for his channel, so his correction fits. At vidIQ’s implied $0.22 per thousand ($6,600 on 30.2 million views, if the windows match), 100 million views is $22,000, implying a total budget of only $44,000 or about ?42 lakh. Too small, we think, for a multi-chapter series. At $1 per thousand, he recovered $100,000 and the budget was around $200,000, or ?1.9 crore. This is our calculation, it ignores later views, and it’s the version we use.

Why the ad line stays small

Even billions of views don’t go far at these rates. The channel drew 30.2 million views in the 28 days to November 3, 2026, and vidIQ showed no change in its 32.8 million subscribers over that stretch. At our $0.30, ads come to about $118,000 a year, under a third of the $380,000 we assume for brand work. If the true lifetime rate were $1, the ad row would be about $5.8 million instead of $1.74 million, and his net worth would be about $2.3 million higher after crew and tax. That is why our range tops out at $6 million.

A cinema family, a sketch career

One 2025 profile says his father owns a movie theatre in Ulhasnagar and his mother helps run it, and another calls him a civil engineering dropout. Neither page sources this, so treat it lightly. The channel’s growth is easier to pin down: 2.3 million subscribers in 2017, over 30 million by 2024, and 212 videos in total. Few uploads for this audience, about 27 million views per video by our math, which also limits how many brand slots he can sell.

What would move the figure

He told the same interviewer that a second season of Ekaki needs substantial YouTube revenue and that he wants a streaming partner. A sale to a platform would be the first large documented check of his career, and it would turn our Ekaki row positive. He is also acting in an upcoming TVF project, and may produce on it, with the fee undisclosed. In the other direction, a flat subscriber count means brand rates could soften.
