How much is Bob Proctor worth in 2026?
The man who told millions they were born rich left no public record of how rich he was. No estate figure has been published that we could open, and the one hard money number in his own story is a claim he made himself: that the cleaning company he started in the 1960s earned over $100,000 in its first year, according to Wikipedia’s account.
We put him at about $20 million at his death, in a range of $10 million to $30 million, and because he has died the figure no longer grows. Public estimates sit well above and below this. The real reason is that they guess at the same blank: many appear to count the whole company as his, when he co-owned it, and none can see what his share sold for.
How Bob Proctor built it
- Studied one book from 1961. He began studying Think and Grow Rich in 1961, while working for the Toronto Fire Department.
- Published after rejections. His first book came out in 1984 through a small publisher after others turned it down.
- Licensed a program to consultants. Consultants paid to resell Thinking Into Results at a suggested $3,000 to $10,000 a client.

| Source | Our estimate | What it rests on |
|---|---|---|
| Half of the training company | $7.5 million | Assumption: $15 million in yearly revenue, valued at 1 times revenue, with half credited to him because he co-founded it with Sandy Gallagher. No revenue, stake or price has been published. |
| Career savings from seminars and coaching | $12 million | Assumption: $400,000 a year kept after tax for 30 years. He taught for decades, but no pay figure has been published. |
| Books | $0.5 million | Assumption: 250,000 copies at $2 a copy. His 1984 first book was a bestseller, but we found no sales count. |
| Total | $20 million | $7.5 million plus $12 million plus $0.5 million |
Selling the right to sell it
The most interesting money in this story came from a program people bought in order to resell. A 2024 independent review of the company says consultants paid a fee to teach Thinking Into Results and then set their own price, with a suggested $3,000 to $10,000 a client. Forum figures it cites put that fee at $18,500 to $30,000. It also counts about 550 consultants, based on membership of a private Facebook group, and about 30 client activations a week.
Run those numbers and the scale comes into view. By our calculation, 550 consultants paying $18,500 to $30,000 comes to $10.2 million to $16.5 million in fees over the program’s whole life, and 30 clients a week at $10,000 is $15.6 million a year in sales that mostly stayed with the consultants. These are unofficial figures, and we treat them as a rough size check. They are why we assume $15 million in yearly company revenue and no more: a good business, but not the sort of fortune the book title implies.
The buyout nobody priced
The latest documented money event we could find is June 2023, more than a year after his death, when the same review says Gallagher acquired the remaining interest in the company and renamed it. The price was not disclosed. We found no newer dated event tied to his money in 2025 or 2026. That sale is the single best clue to his real fortune and it is missing, which is why our company row carries a full $7.5 million of assumption.
The company’s founding date is also unsettled. A company press release from February 2022 says 2002, while the review says the institute started in 2014. Neither fits neatly with the company’s own history, which has Gallagher, then a banking attorney, attending his seminar in 2006. Whichever is right, his biggest business partner arrived late in his career.
A fire department, a book, then the film
He left school early and was working for the Toronto Fire Department when he was handed Think and Grow Rich in the early 1960s. The company history has him studying it from 1961 and working with Earl Nightingale at Nightingale-Conant from 1968 to 1973. His first book came out in 1984 through McCrary Publishing after other publishers turned it down. His real public moment arrived at age 71 or 72, in the 2006 film The Secret, and by 2022 his YouTube channel had more than 1.4 million subscribers.
What would move the figure
Only a disclosure would: the 2023 sale price or an estate filing. Either one could replace most of the ledger overnight. Nothing about future earnings can change it, since the figure is frozen at his death.
